el maestro is Petar Petkov's personal approach in interpreting part of Luis de Milan's most important work, Libro de música de vihuela de mano intitulado El Maestro. Originally composed for the Spanish vihuela, Milan's music is absolutely suitable for a modern classical guitar as both instruments share many similarities in tuning proportions.
The album consists of the first 15 pieces of Milan's book and it's Petkov's debut release with music performed on the classical guitar.
